Momentum Dance Arts has enacted a strict dress code policy.

 No need to make an extra shopping trip.  We have knowledgeable sales associates that can help you with all of your dancer's needs.  ​Please see our front office for all of your dancewear needs.

Shoes

Creative Movement: Pink Canvas or Leather Ballet Shoe

Combo class (Ballet/Tap Combined):  Pink Ballet Shoe, Tan Tap Shoe with Buckle or Velcro  

Jazz:  Split Sole Tan Jazz Shoe

Tap: Beginner Levels A Tan Tap Shoe with Buckle/Velcro
Intermediate-Adv Levels B-C-D and Y Black Tap Shoe, Oxford Style, Lace Up, Hard Sole 

Musical Theater: Tan Jazz Shoes or Character Shoe (Upon Teacher request for Level C-D and Y)

Pointe: See teacher for preference. Must obtain fitting at dancewear store. Must be approved to use pointe shoe in class. 

Ballet: Pink Split Sole Ballet Shoe,
Canvas Style for Levels B-D and Y
Leather Style Levels A, Pre Ballet and Petite Ballet

Contemporary/Lyrical: Bare Feet (Teacher may request Dance Paws or Half Shoes)

Hip Hop: Sneakers or Combat Boots

Cheer: Sneakers 

Acrobatics:  No shoes required for class; students work in bare feet 

Ballroom: Ballroom Shoes

We respectfully ask parents to ensure that their children's name is written inside all dance shoes.  A dance bag is strongly recommended to avoid “shoe mix-ups.”

Attire

Attire:
Mommy & Me: Comfortable clothing for both student and parent. Student may wear dancewear: Any color leotard, no tights required. Hair pulled away from face. No Shoes required,  Bare-Feet. 

Creative Movement: Any color leotard and pink tights. Hair pulled away from face. Pink ballet shoes. Leotard with skirts allowed.

Musical Theater: Any color leotard or sports bra, dance shorts/jazz pants/leggings allowed, tan tights optional. Hair pulled back away from face. Split-sole tan jazz shoes or character shoe (teacher preference).

Ballet/Tap Combo classes: Any color leotard and pink tights. Ballet skirts are allowed for ballet. Hair pulled back into a secured bun. Tan tap shoes with buckle or Velcro. Pink split-sole ballet shoes.

Ballet/Jazz Combo classes: Any color leotard and pink or tan tights. Ballet skirts are allowed for ballet. Hair pulled back into a secured bun. Pink split-sole ballet shoes and split-sole tan jazz shoes.

Tap/Jazz Combo Levels A-B: Any color leotard and tan tights, dance shorts or jazz pants optional. Tan tap shoes with buckle or Velcro. Split-sole tan jazz shoes.

Ballet Levels A-D and Y: Solid Black Leotard and pink convertible tights. Ballet skirts allowed at teacher discretion (No dance shorts). Hair pulled back into a secured bun. Pink split-sole ballet shoes, canvas style preferred.

Jazz Levels A-D and Y: Any color leotard or sports bra, dance shorts/jazz pants/leggings allowed, tan tights optional. Hair pulled back away from face. Split-sole tan jazz shoes.

Tap Levels B-D and Y: Any color leotard or sports bra, dance shorts/jazz pants/leggings allowed, tan tights optional. Lace-up black oxford style tap shoes hard sole.

Acro ALL Levels: Any color leotard or sports bra. Hair pulled back away from face. Dance shorts optional. No tights, socks or shoes.

Hip Hop ALL Levels: Loose comfortable clothes, NO DENIM. Sneakers or combat boots. Can pair baggy pants with dance top or wear leggings with baggy shirt/hoodie.

Contemporary ALL Levels: Any color leotard or sports bra. Hair pulled back away from face. Dance shorts/leggings optional. Bare-Feet.

Cheer ALL Levels: Loose comfortable clothes/athletic clothes. Sneakers/Tennis Shoes with hair up and out of face. 

Ballroom: Skirt, Leotard (optional dance shorts), and Ballroom Shoes.  Shoe link can be provided.
