Meredith Turner
Guest Choreographer and Faculty
Meredith Turner is a dance teacher, choreographer, and national dance competition adjudicator originally from Tampa, Florida. She began dancing at the age of three at Karl and DiMarco School of Theater and Dance under the direction of Sandy Karl. Meredith was a member of Karl and DiMarco’s company for more than 10 years and had the opportunity to perform at large-scale events, including the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
Meredith continued her dance career at the collegiate level as a member of the University of Florida Dazzlers Dance Team. During her time in Gainesville, she began teaching at Momentum Dance Arts and became a choreographer and rehearsal director for MDA Company. Meredith also danced and served as a head instructor for Universal Dance Association (UDA), teaching jazz, hip hop, pom, and high kick to middle and high school dance teams across the country.
Meredith went on to attend Auburn University, where she earned her Doctorate in Audiology (Au.D.). Throughout graduate school, she continued choreographing for MDA Company while expanding her work as a dance adjudicator with Inspire National Dance Competition. In this role, Meredith has judged hundreds of routines, taught master classes, held auditions, and choreographed opening numbers for Nationals.
Now living in Atlanta, Georgia, Meredith continues to choreograph for dance studios and competitive dance teams while working as a Pediatric Audiologist at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. She has been part of Momentum Dance Arts in a variety of roles for more than 10 years and remains incredibly passionate about investing in the next generation of dancers.
For Meredith, dance is about so much more than technique and performance. She loves helping dancers reach their goals while instilling the confidence, discipline, and resilience they need to succeed both on and off the stage. Few things are more rewarding to her than working with the MDA dancers, and she is grateful to continue contributing to the legacy Jamie has created at Momentum Dance Arts.
